Investment Thesis

We invest¹ in impactful and sustainable social enterprises in India. Our main focus is on enterprises with solutions rooted in the local context, dynamic entrepreneurs, and innovative business models. Furthermore, we place heavy emphasis on those organizations that can establish streams of revenue from their core operations, and are therefore not dependent on donors in the long-term. Finally, we concentrate our investments in sectors that do not traditionally receive mainstream capital, including the sanitation, livelihood, and clean energy sectors, among others.

¹We’d like to note that all of our investment decisions are subject to oversight by an appointed Board of Directors, consisting of OSA leadership, OSNE leadership, and professionals with experience in philanthropy.
